The token that powers Pesa Rewards.

PESA rewards people for sending money across Africa. As the Pesabase network grows, transfer fees buy PESA back from the market.

Delivering $8.5M to last-mile communities with stablecoins.

Eric Alsop explains how Pesabase uses blockchain to reach the people traditional finance leaves behind.

    • Why sending money home still costs families around 10%, and sometimes much more.
    • How Pesabase hides the blockchain, so users simply see an easy app, an agent or a bank.
    • How stablecoins and smart contracts move money from one currency to local cash, fast and cheap.

    Questions

    What is PESA?

PESA is the token of the Pesabase ecosystem. People earn it as a reward when they send money with the Pesabase app, and anyone can buy and hold it on the open market.

    How does the buyback work?

Part of the fee on every Pesabase transfer is used to buy PESA on the market. As more people send money with Pesabase, more PESA is bought back, which reduces the supply in circulation.

    What makes Pesabase different?

Most of our customers live in rural areas in and around Juba, South Sudan, where new payment technology can't pay out. Pesabase solves that with agents and mini-banks on the ground and direct transfers to SIM cards.

    Why build a bank?

Pesa Junubi bank will give people in South Sudan access to savings, loans, micro loans and modern financial tools, including blockchain-based products.

    How do I buy PESA?

PESA is a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain. You can buy it on PancakeSwap with any BNB Chain wallet, such as Trust Wallet or MetaMask. Always check that the contract address matches the one on this page: 0x18587b19627a2f9d18a0482fed118714d1934292.
